How do we identify the worst-case device for fatigue life testing

Durability (or fatigue life) of medical devices is one of the key aspects for patient safety. Regulatory authorities often require at least a 10-year lifespan evaluation considering the physiological environment. When there is a family of devices with many different sizes and configurations, physically testing the fatigue life of each device would be cost and time prohibitive.
